Help & safety

Answers to the questions we hear most, and a few habits to keep things running smoothly.

Frequently asked questions

Is it really free?

Yes. Posting, offering, chatting: it's all free, with no hidden fees or subscription. Jobbeux doesn't even own a piggy bank.

How do I post a job?

Click “Post a job”, then describe what needs doing, where, when and your rough budget. Five steps, and your draft is saved at each one.

How do I pick an offer?

Compare the price, the message, the rating and the success rate. Ask your questions publicly before accepting.

When can I share my contact details?

As soon as an offer is accepted, a private conversation opens. Before that, contact details are removed from listings and questions, for your safety.

How does payment work?

Directly between you, as agreed. Lesjobines.ca never handles money: agree on how to pay in the private conversation.

A problem with a job or a person?

Use “Report” on the job, profile or message, or block the person. The moderation team reviews every report.

Safety tips

  • Check the profile

Reviews, rating, success rate and membership age say a lot. An empty profile deserves one more question.

  • Stay on Lesjobines.ca

Keep your conversations in the messaging: the history protects you if there's a disagreement.

  • Never pay upfront

Pay once the work is done, as agreed. Be wary of requests for deposits or gift cards.

  • Job at your place? Plan ahead

Let someone know, put your valuables away and trust your instincts.

  • Report anything off

A pushy message, a shady offer: report it. The reported person never knows who did.

Still stuck?

Post your job: people nearby answer questions too, in public.
